Neighborhood Parks
The character of a neighborhood is often derived from a central landmark, most notably an open space where people gather or simply relax. So, at Palencia every neighborhood has its own unique park. In all, nearly 33-acres of parks are planned throughout the community.

Trails and Boardwalks
Palencia's trail system spreads out from the Village Center, connecting the entire community with every neighborhood and scenic open space. The network of trails and boardwalks winds through oak hammocks and over streambeds, and travels out to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Technology
Palencia's infrastructure includes "Structured Wiring" in each and every home. This technology supports high-speed Web and intra-community data communications, multiple phone and cable lines, plus in-home networking of printers and DVD players.

Community Development District (CDD)
Palencia's Community Development District (CDD) assures that a high standard of landscape, infrastructure and recreational amenities maintenance is sustained for homeowners. Palencia's CDD handles planning, construction, maintenance, security and operations of the Swim & Fitness Facility, Tennis Center, Athletic Complex, Village Green, Streetscapes, road improvements, trail system, stormwater management system, parks and landscapes, wetland and upland preservation areas, and monumentation, as well as any future improvements.

Natural Gas
Palencia is a natural gas community. Gas is a safe, versatile and economic energy source proven to be less expensive and more efficient than alternatives. Best of all, natural gas is environmentally friendly. Gas puts fewer toxins into the air with lower levels of pollutants and emissions than coal- and petroleum- burning electric plants.
